Throughout the month of July, the garden of the Goethe-Institut library became a space for discussion on what it means to be a woman, both in the past and in the present. Roundtable discussions and art workshops were held to create a shared journal. We took a contemporary look at techniques traditionally associated with the female domestic sphere, such as embroidery and sewing, using them as an artistic theme to revisit each participant’s life experiences and knowledge.

From this process will emerge a collaborative work - an installation in which painted and embroidered scraps of raw fabric will transform the garden space into a gathering place, where we will be able to see, hear, and feel the testimonies of these women.
